The consulates of the peoples republic of China in Germany will strictly use the before loosely handled consular jurisdiction after January 26th.
From January 26th, an application for a visa to the PRC has to be presented in the Consulate general which is responsible for him due to the residence of the applicant (based on its "Bundesland").
The data of place of residence in the passport must correspond to the address specified in the visa application form (Section 3.1 on page 3 of the application form). Under certain circumstances, the consulate may ask for a copy of the current registration certificate.

Consulate in Hamburg: Hamburg, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein, Niedersachsen (the address for our brandnew branch in Hamburg youll find from the January 21st on our website under "Contact".)
Please keep in mind that due to the chinese holidays from January 21st until january 25th, the last day you can apply under the old visa rules is Friday 20nd.
